Restoration & maintenance

Professional cleaning, varnish correction and preventive conservation to keep your artworks impeccable for decades.

Conservation services

  • Professional surface cleaning: removal of dust, soot and accumulated ambient grime.
  • Varnish correction: renewal of yellowed or dull varnishes to recover the original color.
  • UV protection: application of conservation varnishes with ultraviolet filter.
  • Preventive conservation: diagnosis of display conditions (light, humidity, temperature) and recommendations.
  • Structural review: canvas re-tensioning and support inspection.
  • Stretcher replacement for damaged or warped frames.

When to act

Signs your artwork needs attention: dull or yellowed colors, slack or rippled canvas, dust embedded in impastos, visible cracks or moisture stains.

How I work

Each piece receives a prior diagnosis with photographs and a minimal-intervention proposal: in conservation, less is more. You receive a report of the initial condition, the treatment performed and care recommendations.

Frequently asked questions

How often should a painting be checked?
A visual check at home once a year and a professional review every 5–10 years is enough for most artworks kept in stable conditions.
Can I clean my painting with a damp cloth?
No. Moisture and household products damage varnish and paint. At home use only a soft, dry brush; any deeper cleaning should be done by a professional.
